Five on Friday: Ways I Never Knew I'd be Able to Share my Story

After I was raped, everyone that knew I was writing about it would tell me that I should try to publish a book to help other survivors. Once it was compiled, I sent it out to a few publishers but none were interested. I kind of figured that was the end of sharing it with a larger audience.  Luckily I didn't really trash it that time because in the past ten years I've been able to share my story in other ways and that's today's Five on Friday list.

1.  Speaking for college and high school students
2. Sharing parts of it for smaller publications like a local newsletter
3. Being interviewed on the radio and newspaper
4. Writing a monologue to perform with the social justice theatre group (https://www.facebook.com/MetaTheatreCompany)
5. On my blog
