Five on Friday: The kids' Halloween costumes this year

(oldest to youngest)

1. Edward Scissorhands
black pants and white shirt (closet), black boots (birthday gift), three black belts (thrift shop) , ratty old black wig (hand me down) cut up in a crazy fashion, cheap black gloves (Wal-mart) with slits cut at the knuckles where plastic (but shiny silver) knives were inserted and then black electrical tape put around to hold in place

2. Vampire Hunter
black pants, vest and jacket (dress up box) white shirt (sister’s closet), black shoes (consignment sale), top hat (Grandma’s basement), eye patch (black felt and fishing line), mustache (make up), bandolier (fancy word for Mom’s belt), wooden stake (found in yard), pipe (from snow man supplies)

3. Glow in the Dark Skeleton
black turtleneck (thrift shop), black pants, skeleton gloves and glow in the dark fabric paint (Wal-Mart), Mom’s painting skills and time

4. Red Ninja
yard sale score!

5. Princess
borrowed from a friend. She did have plans to be the contractor that was building our addition but she recently decided she wanted to be fancier.
